A black rose is the ideal candidate. A black rose for this role is an experienced engineer with a track record of testing software and creating test plans/cases. Their impact in previous teams they were a part resulted in the team building better software.

Must-Haves (Non-negotiables): 

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Extensive experience in software testing

ROLE DESCRIPTION

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and improve software
• Monitor debugging process results
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
• Perform thorough regression testing
• Document results of tests
• Research and compare similar competitor products

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• BS/MS degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering
• Extensive experience in software testing
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
